Sometimes you just need an answer. Yes or no?
Cancel the plans. Change your look. Risk it. Go back home. Quit the job. Get a tattoo. Finally buy the thing you’ve been eyeing for three months. Break up, or give it another chance. Tell the truth, or stay silent. Go to the party. Forgive the betrayal. Travel alone. Make the first move. Leave, or stay. Leave first. Throw out what you can’t part with. Start your own business. Confess your feelings. Talk to the neighbors about the noise. Say that it hurt you.
And sometimes, it seems, only the Universe knows the answer.
It’s like the flashlight on your phone
It can come in very handy at the right moment.
The arguments for and against have been weighed, and there’s still no decision.
That’s usually when people reach for a coin. Or cast lots. Heads or tails. Put the playlist on shuffle, open a book at a random page.
“Answer from the Universe” is much the same thing. Only classier.
Why the answer is only “yes” or “no”

Or maybe just because a coin has only two sides. Though, granted, every once in a while it lands on its edge. Believe it or not, that happens in our app too.

We could, of course, describe in detail what happens once you open the app. But something tells us it will be far more interesting if all of it comes as a surprise.
How this differs from a Magic 8 Ball
Let’s say it up front: our app is not a fortune teller’s parlor, not a Magic 8 Ball, and not a room full of psychics. Unlike them, we don’t claim to know what will happen. Because we don’t know, and no one else does either. On the other hand, we’re not at all convinced that a coin lands on one side or the other by chance. So it’s all a little more complicated than it looks. And more interesting.
Why only one question a day
One question a day, one answer. First, because this isn’t a game. And second, if there were ten of them, each answer would be worth ten times less.
Why it’s free
Free, by the way, and also with no ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no monetization of any kind. That part isn’t up for discussion. And it’s all because selling answers from the Universe would be — how to put this gently — a little awkward.
